Hi I'm Katie

I help people reset overwhelming spaces and create systems that reduce friction and make daily life easier.

Where it begins

Sometimes a space slowly stops supporting the life happening inside it.Things pile up. Rooms become difficult to use. Systems that once worked stop fitting the reality of daily life. And over time, it can become hard to see where to begin or what would actually make a difference. Most people reach out when they are overwhelmed, stuck, or too close to the situation to see a clear starting point anymore.I help people reset overwhelming spaces with practical, hands-on support that creates clarity, movement, and usable systems. This work is not about perfection or creating picture-perfect organization. It is about reducing friction, restoring function, and making spaces easier to live in and maintain.

What I help with

People usually contact me when a space has become difficult to manage, difficult to use, or mentally exhausting to carry.

  • overwhelming rooms, storage spaces, or accumulated clutter

  • paper piles and delayed decisions

  • homes after major life transitions, loss, illness, caregiving, burnout, or change

  • spaces that no longer support daily routines

  • unfinished systems that create more stress than support

  • knowing something needs to change, but not knowing how to start

  • Sometimes the issue is the amount of stuff.

Often, the larger problem is cognitive overload — too many decisions, too many layers, too much accumulated friction, and no clear path forward. You do not have to carry the full cognitive load of figuring it all out alone.

How I work

I approach organizing as a practical problem-solving process. When I enter a space, I look for:what is creating frictionwhat is no longer functioningwhat keeps repeatingwhat is making everyday life harder than it needs to bewhat changes would create the biggest immediate differenceSome projects involve decluttering and reorganizing physical spaces. Some involve resetting systems that have become difficult to maintain. Some simply require another person who can step into the situation, see it clearly, and help create movement again. The goal is not to create rigid systems or force unrealistic solutions. The goal is to create spaces that are functional, manageable, and supportive of the life actually being lived inside them.

What working together feels like

My approach is calm, direct, practical, and nonjudgmental.I understand that people often wait a long time before asking for help because overwhelm can make it difficult to know where to start, what matters most, or how big the project actually is.Part of my role is helping reduce that overwhelm by bringing structure, momentum, and clear decision-making into the process. You do not need to have everything sorted out before reaching out.You also do not need to explain or justify how things got to this point. We start by identifying what is creating the most friction and what will make the biggest immediate difference, then work forward from there.

A place to start

Most projects begin with a conversation about what is no longer working, what feels overwhelming, and what kind of reset would make daily life easier. From there, I can help identify where to begin and what the next steps could look like.Reach out here to start the conversation.
